Ferretti Yachts was established in 1968 when brothers Alessandro and Norberto Ferretti created the first nautical division of the family business, back then a luxury car dealership. In 1971 their first model, a motorsailer, was welcomed with great public acclaim. It was a boat of 10 meters, equipped with both, sails and an engine, was particularly comfortable, safe and with a very intuitive flair.
In the following years, the company began producing boats for sport fishing, introducing revolutionary changes to the nautical engineering world with the switch from sail to engine power. During the 1980 they specialized in luxury motoryachts and in 1993 and 94, started to market Ferretti Yachts internationally by creating a strategic network of dealers.
Nowadays, Ferretti Yachts keeps a constant innovation process by searching for new materials and the ultimate combination between maximum functionality, comfort on board and beautiful design. The experiences accrued over the years due to Offshore competitions have made it possible that the shipyard transfers the results of technological research conducted for sports competition to standard production processes. The famous italian shipyard continues to tell a story of nautical gems, with a flybridge fleet that now ranges from 50 to 100 footers.
